Alla Guelber is a passionate educator, community builder and facilitator based in Calgary. Her passion lies at the intersection of engaged community action, systems thinking and deep personal inquiry. Alla has
explored this through various entry points, including permaculture, placemaking, transformative learning and ecopsychology (amongst others!). She founded The Meaningful Work Project, an educational initiative focused on creating work of service to people and the planet. This emerged through the course of her Master of Arts – Environmental Education and Communication from Royal Roads University, and her thesis: The quest for meaningful work: Personal journeys in creating occupations for people and planet. Alla has a background in communications (journalism and public relations) and youth environmental leadership. She completed her PDC with Verge Permaculture, and is an active member of the Permaculture Calgary Guild and is a co-organizer with City Repair Calgary.
