Artist/ environmental education for kids and youth
Kym Chi is a dedicated advocate of Earth stewardship, people care and regenerative action for future resiliency. Deeply inspired by nature, art and experiential education, she is a creative facilitator, artist, gardener, healer and community builder.
Committed to learning, Kym has received 3 certificates in Permaculture Design, completed 3 teacher trainings, has a diploma in permaculture education and taken a variety of advanced trainings with a focus on Social Permaculture and Resilience. She studies plant medicines with master herbalist Barb Cotgrave and plans to study further with Robin Clayfield and Master Medicine maker Susun Weed.
Her love of community has attracted Kym to participate in many non profit organizations locally and globally that focus on Permaculture and conscious social change. Some include; One Straw Society (www.onestraw.ca), City Repair Calgary, The AREA (www.thearea.ca), Calgary Permaculture Guild (www.permaculturecalgary.org), Evolver (www.evolver.net) and CoSM (www.cosm.org).
Through her affiliation with Gaiacraft, she helps to create open and accessible learning tools that anyone can use.
Kym works on an empowerment model and her main mission is to help others recognize their connection to the earth as well as their unique gifts through creative education, ecological design, regenerative art and holistic healing.
